**Who We Are**:
PathoQuest is a CRO, spin-off of the Institut Pasteur, specialized in the study, research and identification of pathogens by high-throughput sequencing for the quality control of pharmaceutical products of biological origin, both in France and abroad. PathoQuest offers innovative biotechnology companies around the world a complete expert service, from receipt of samples to the production of certificates of analysis. Its assays are based on proprietary sample processing protocols, a high-throughput sequencing platform, and specialized bioinformatics analysis pipelines. Currently in development, we currently have around 50 employees on 2 sites, in France and in the United States.

We are currently looking for an R&D Project Leader M/F attached to our site based in Paris.

**Your Role**:
Under the direct responsibility of the Chief Scientific Officer and in collaboration with the Sales&Marketing, Quality and Operations teams, you specify, organize and plan the implementation of scientific research and development projects, from its design phase to its completion. in industrialization by relying on internal or external resources. You lead scientific projects that contribute to the growth of the company and the opening of new markets.

**Scope of Responsibility**:

- Develop, execute and manage scientific projects as part of the development of new services
- Contribute to the definition of the methodology necessary for the smooth running of projects
- Be responsible for all the data generated in the studies and for writing the summary of these results
- Do scientific and technical monitoring to stay tuned to technological and/or scientific innovations
- Work in accordance with the Quality system in place within the framework of the drafting of reports/deliverables and documentation generated in the studies
- Participate in the drafting of patents/publications/posters and oral communications
- Be responsible for the proper management of the equipment he/she is in charge of
- Interact with members of the project team as part of the development of new service offerings

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education (minimum requirements) & Experience**:

- Diploma (Master / Doctorate) in molecular biology (virology is a plus)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the practice of his scientific specialty
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the private industrial sector

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Mastery of molecular biology techniques, in particular NGS technology
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and data evaluation processes
- Mastery of office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
- Knowledge and practice of analytical techniques
- Knowledge of good laboratory and/or manufacturing practices
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial private environment such as a contract research laboratory, particularly in a GxP environment
- Fluent English essential
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, curiosity, as well as a taste for working in a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective collaboration both internally and externally.
- Autonomy in the management of all aspects of a project (deadlines, costs, quality, etc.).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrated through presentations/seminars, supervising highly technical projects, implementing new services, etc.
- Ability to anticipate to limit the risks of project drift
- Ability to organize, plan and manage, autonomy and initiative
- Analyze to ensure that no detail is overlooked, especially during the different phases of the project.

- This position is based in PathoQuest’s headquarters located in Paris, France.
