**Summary / Role Purpose**

The Sr. Network Engineer enhances and improves both on-premises and Cloud Network Infrastructure in support of ANSYS business. The role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and continuity of critical network architecture and implementation, as well as the validation of business processes and design approaches. This role can work independently with moderate supervision and participate as a technology resource in larger projects.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Collaborates with Network, Cloud, Server, Storage, and Cyber Security Teams on architecture and complex requirements, including design and integration points
- Creates and moves network services and functions in a global architecture
- Communicates and drives global network infrastructure improvement ideas
- Develops processes, optimization methods, and risk management strategies
- Performs advanced customization and improvements of core network and cloud infrastructure
- Performs root-cause analysis: troubleshoot global network infrastructure services
- Network monitoring and reporting
- Ensuring global network is responsive to user demands
- Implementing effective network security strategies globally

**Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience**
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Network Data Center and WAN support
- Familiarity with Multi-Cloud networks
- Detailed understanding of managing network infrastructure (i.e., switches, firewalls)
- Network related protocols: TCP/IP, SSH, NFS, CIFS, FTP
- Proficient with automation and scripting languages (i.e., Python, PowerShell, VBScript)
- Ability to conceptualize and implement process and design improvements

**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**
- Azure or Cloud Administration
- Applicable IT Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Cloud Networking
- Ability to travel internationally as needed
