**Our R&D Division is looking for its future Colour & Material Designer to be based in Research & Development Centre in Etampes (91).**
You will have the opportunity to create the future aesthetic of vehicles through development of original colors, materials & finishing.
- You will leverage passion and sustainability as a leading driver for material research & identification.
- You will have the ability to clearly present benchmarking & competitive analysis of the current automotive market, as well as an understanding of industry trends in fashion, architecture, and product design etc.
- The Designer in this role will deliver CMF Proposals through emotional storytelling expressed through an understanding cultural trend.
- The CMF Designer will be responsible for designing and developing color, materials, grains, and finishes for customers & internal programs.
- The CMF Designer will work with the Industrial Design teams on execution and support the design process from concept through feasibility toward production. Skillset requirements include identifying relevant trends and technologies, creating compelling image boards and focused program palettes, while working cross-functionally to support fast and dynamic timelines
- Her/ his actions will contribute to Industrial Design process during RFQ, development and innovation
Your mission will be to:
- Continually seek out, new material technologies, emerging color & trim directions, innovative surface designs.
- Understand CMF challenges and identify solutions in executing CMF strategy from concept to feasible execution for production through all useful tools with gravity on digital processes.
- Track and identify key and emerging trends relevant for Customers with values for FORVIA SEATING _ regarding materials, finishes, and emerging processes / technologies. Create and update Trend Presentations and Product Mood-boards.
- Based on CMF tools, contribute to highlight our Techno bricks / materials and other technologies
Qualifications requirements:
- Visual Communication: effective communication strategies for presentations using multiple formats, including digital, traditional, vignettes and video.
- Strong experience designing for multiple brands/product lines
- Highly creative and innovative, with a proactive approach.
- Strong ability to constantly challenge and innovate in color and material
- Very strong team player
- An organized timely approach to working practices.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work cross-functionally within an efficient yet effective manner.
- Motivational and proactive approach to teamwork is essential.
- Leadership & Project management skills essential.
- Good level of internal and external networking capabilities
- Fluent in English and French
Education & Experiences
- ** Education**: Master’s Degree in Transportation Design, Textile Design, Industrial Design, Color Design.
- ** Experience**: 0-3 years in product development in a corporate or consultancy environment
