As Business Analyst (f/m/d) for the Account and Financial Reporting domain, you are central to designing and developing a scalable and flexible insurance platform service that will help wefox achieve our goals of being 100% digital and developing wefox’ all-in-one policy technology. As the owner of one of the core insurance domains, you will collaborate closely with fellow Product Managers as well as engineers, accountants, finance experters and other stakeholders, playing an important role in setting the standard for all aspects of insurance accounting at wefox.

The Accounting and Financial Reporting domain has two key objectives:
1. To streamline all of the accounting processes necessary for claims, policy and distribution flows
2. Ensure accurate and flexible financial reporting functionality for internal and external stakeholders

Whether it is connecting to new data sources or leveraging OCR technology for a smoother, more reliable pricing and underwriting process or supporting python in the pricing engine, this role is as challenging as it is diverse

**Responsibilities**:

- Take end to end ownership of the Policy domain, establishing a strategic roadmap that balances long term goals with the ability to take advantage of short and medium term opportunities and is aligned with the broader product strategy for the platform
- Prioritising and engineering requirements for features based on business impact, evaluating the right trade off between flexibility and speed
- Drive innovation in your domain by measuring what matters, staying up to date with developments in insurance and technology, and assessing the value new opportunities have when it comes to helping wefox achieve our goals
- Proactively communicate with your peers in product and other stakeholders across the business - whether it’s a change to the roadmap, a new idea or the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’

About you
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or financial reporting, preferably in the insurance industry.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, product management for a platform, ideally in a technology driven insurance or other financial service company
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, working on products with scalable APIs and / or microservice architecture
- Highly analytical, you use data to make decisions - basic knowledge of SQL and / or python would be a plus
- Proven ability to juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- A first rate stakeholder manager, you have strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics to peers and colleagues who are less ‘in the detail’ - in written and verbal English (German or other European languages considered favourably)
- Intellectually curious, you are skilled at framing the problem and consider pragmatic solutions - as well as those that might be a little ‘outside the box’
