**Minimum qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Experience with database workload migration and the commercial and business issues in moving these workloads to public cloud.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Experience in building and scaling demand generation and pipeline progression programmes.
- Experience in building C-level relationships, with an understanding of executive decision making process and consultative problem/solution positioning.
- Understanding of the financial and technical issues in managing modern day IT operations at large corporations.
- Ability to communicate complex topics to an audience with various functional knowledge.

**About the job**:
The Database Pursuit Specialist is part of the Customer Growth Engine organisation and works closely with customer account teams and sales leadership to aim, position win database centric workloads to drive Google Cloud Database adoption.

In this role, you will combine the ability of complex business agreement support, partner and account team collaboration, engaged promotion, strategy consulting, agreement structuring and database workload promotion. You will work closely with aligned technical resources on priority accounts routinely engaging with C-level executives, both internally and externally, providing perspective and guidance on long-term business/technology strategy and investment options of technical and business knowledge.

**Responsibilities**:

- Establish working relationships with Google strategic account teams, sales leadership, professional services, product management, solution management, Global System Integrator Partners and executive staff.
- Work with counterpart technical specialists to ensure solution assurance sign-off of database migrations from both commercial and technical perspectives.
- Work with account teams to build and progress sales pipelines and opportunities for database workload migration. Advise the account teams and customers on the options for migration from both a commercial and engaged perspective.
- Identify, recommend and help recruit partners to expand the number of managed regional partners for database business plays.
