**Job Summary**

The Senior Database Engineer (Oracle and MSSQL) plays a critical role in optimizing operational processes and ensuring the effective delivery of services within the organization. This position is responsible for managing escalations, promoting customer satisfaction, and driving initiatives that enhance productivity and revenue generation. The lead will leverage technical expertise in Jenkins and PowerShell to implement automation solutions that support operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle MSSQLDB databases in production, development, and testing environments.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning, indexing, and query optimization techniques.
- Manage replication, sharding, and clustering for high availability and scalability.
- Perform backup and recovery operations, ensuring disaster recovery readiness.
- Ensure database security, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Work closely with developers to optimize database queries and schema design.
- Automate database maintenance tasks using scripts and tools.
- Experience of database migration from non-Exadata to Exadata environment
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation.
- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices related to database management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot database performance issues
- Perform data migration and ETL processes when necessary.
- Monitor system logs, identify issues, and troubleshoot database problems.
- Keep upto-date with MongoDB updates and best practices.
- Optimize operational workflows by implementing best practices in Oracle Administration and PostgreSQL, enhancing reporting capabilities and improving data management efficiency.
- Analyze client requirements and ensure the support team meets or exceeds service expectations through effective problem-solving and proactive communication.
- Lead and mentor the project team by defining project objectives, facilitating transparent communication, and promoting a culture of accountability and performance excellence.
- Develop tailored solutions that align with customer needs by leveraging technical expertise in Oracle Administration and PostgreSQL, ultimately driving positive business outcomes.
- HandsOn experience on HA, DR deployment on (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and Postgre)
- Database Migration and Optimization expertise on (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and Postgre)
- Database Performance management on (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and Postgre)
- Database Consolidation and Capacity management (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and Postgre)

**Skill Requirements**
- Strong proficiency in MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and PostgreSQL Administration with a solid understanding of database management and optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in mentoring and developing team members.
- Familiarity with service level agreements (SLAs) and operational performance metrics
