**Overall Objectives and Purpose of the role**:
In the Pharmacology Department, reporting to the department Director, you will manage a team within a matrix organization. Innate Pharma is developing innovative treatments in oncology. You and your team will be in charge to characterize the in vitro biological activity and MOA of our novel assets and assess their efficacy in relevant preclinical models. Thanks to your strong knowledge and experience in in vitro and in vivo preclinical pharmacology, you will lead the team and contribute to their scientific and professional development.

Main role and responsibilities:

- In close coordination with preclinical project leads propose and execute the preclinical workplan of several assets of the Company
- Manage a Pharmacology team and provide robust data packages according to internal procedures and knowledge within the field
- Present data to internal and external stakeholders
- Allocate resources according to the Company strategy and ensure the objectives are achieved according to the plans
- Provide a strategic vision of the assets and more generally of the portfolio to your team
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the processes of the team and for the department

**Main responsibilities and key tasks**:
**Line management of a team of the Pharmacology department**
- Management of Human Resources activities according to internal procedures and regulations
- Contribution to team member skills and professional development
- Motivation and coaching of the team
- Communication of the Company strategy within the team
- Resource allocation according to the defined objectives

**Responsible for preclinical data generated in the team**
- Scientific and technological literature survey in the field of therapeutic antibody preclinical pharmacology
- Propose and optimise in vitro and in vivo preclinical study workplans to address preclinical project needs
- Ensure traceability, analysis and interpretation of the generated preclinical data
- Generate study reports as well as SOP following internal Quality Assurance standards
- Proactively recognize and solve technical and scientific issues to ensure high quality data

**Continuous improvement of department and team processes**
- Critical evaluation of the methods used
- Propose and evaluate new in vitro and in vivo models/methods as needed
- Propose organizational improvements to gain efficiency

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- PhD in the field of immunology, oncology, pharmacology or any relevant field
- 3 to 5-year experience in pharmacology (in vitro/in vivo) in biotech/pharma industry
- At least 2 years of successful management experience
- Track record of scientific accomplishments (Peer-reviewed scientific publications, patents, presentations)
- Experience with therapeutic antibody development
- Fluent in English
- Post-doctoral fellowship in the field of immunology or oncology

**Technical Competencies**:

- Expertise implementing in vitro and in vivo strategies to drive lead characterization, selection and validation
- Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects
- Proficiency in statistical analysis of preclinical pharmacology data
- The applicant must be able to read, write and speak French and English
- Experience with IND-filing studies (preclinical pharmacology)
