**Overview**
We are seeking a **hands-on Senior Accountant** to join a growing international business. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys working close to the detail and is happy to **personally own the accounting**, rather than managing a team.
This is a practical, delivery-focused position offering broad exposure across the business. It suits someone who is technically strong, reliable, and comfortable getting involved in day-to-day accounting work.
**Key Responsibilities**
This is a **fully hands-on role**. You will complete accounting entries yourself and be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the accounts.
- General Ledger accounting and ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping
- Posting **manual journal entries**, accruals, prepayments and adjustments
- Month-end and year-end closing activities
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Fixed assets accounting
- Preparation and review of VAT and other local tax filings
- Supporting statutory audits and responding to auditor queries
- Producing basic management reporting and financial analysis
- Working closely with internal stakeholders on accounting queries and improvements
There is **no team management responsibility** in this role. The focus is on strong technical delivery and attention to detail.
**What We’re Looking For**
- Solid experience in **general accounting** and month-end close
- Comfortable with **manual accounting entries** and reconciliations
- Strong technical accounting fundamentals and accuracy
- Experience in an international or multi-entity environment is beneficial
- Able to work independently and take ownership of the accounts
- Pragmatic, hands-on mindset and willingness to “roll up sleeves”
- **Fluent French AND fluent English**
