Join Us at the Forefront of Quantum Computing Innovation
**Description of the Project**:
We are seeking motivated interns to join the Device Theory team. Currently, our team is focused on the theoretical and computational study of solid-state single-photon sources, spin-photon interfaces, and their use in protocols for quantum computation. Specifically, the projects that are available involve:
- Investigation of models for early fault tolerant computations (native gates, benchmarking, or error mitigation strategies).
- Optimisation of protocols for spin-photon operations.
- Mapping calibration data onto established performance metrics to bridge the gap between hardware-level performance and computational outcomes.
- Optimisation and GPU acceleration of state-of-the art hybrid spin-photon simulations.
**Your Key Responsibilities**:
- In-depth research of current literature to contextualise the currently used methods and identify trends.
- Perform analytical/computational modeling or data collection using Quandela's open-source framework.
- Attend weekly meetings, giving updates on project progress.
- Write an internal report on findings.
**Requirements**:
- You are enrolled in a postgraduate program in physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or another technical field.- Programming language experience (preferably in Python).- You are curious and have strong analytical/numerical skills and problem-solving capability.- You have strong written and communication skills in English.- You have the right to work in Europe and do not require a sponsored visa.
