Global Head of Procurement Process & Operations Excellence

Position Summary

The Global Head of Procurement Process & Operations Excellence leads the design, governance, and continuous improvement of procurement operations with a holistic, end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) approach. This role ensures that procurement processes, policies, and controls are standardized and optimized globally to deliver operational excellence, compliance, and seamless execution across the procurement lifecycle.

Reporting To: Global Head of Procurement Excellence & Strategy (PES)

Role Purpose
- Own the governance, rules, policies, and standards underpinning procurement operations, ensuring a robust, compliant, and efficient end-to-end Source-to-Pay process globally.
- Lead the design, deployment, and continuous improvement of standardized procurement processes that cover the entire S2P cycle—from requisitioning, sourcing, contracting, purchase order management, receipt, invoicing, to payment.
- Drive operational excellence by embedding governance frameworks, controls, and compliance requirements into all procurement activities.
- Collaborate closely with other Procurement Excellence pillars and enterprise stakeholders to ensure S2P processes support strategic procurement goals and business compliance.

Core Responsibilities

1. Source-to-Pay End-to-End Process Governance
- Own the design and maintenance of global, standardized S2P processes that cover all procurement activities, ensuring clarity, compliance, and efficiency.
- Define and enforce procurement rules, policies, and procedures that govern requisitions, sourcing, contracting, purchase order issuance, receipt, invoicing, and payment approvals.
- Ensure S2P processes are aligned with enterprise finance, legal, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
- Develop and implement controls to minimize process risks such as maverick spend, duplicate payments, and contract non-compliance.
- Oversee process integration across procurement functions, finance, IT, and supplier management to ensure seamless end-to-end execution.

2. Governance Framework & Policy Management
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks for procurement operations, ensuring accountability, auditability, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead policy development and updates for procurement operational rules, aligning with global standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Monitor adherence to procurement policies and operational controls through regular audits, assessments, and reporting.
- Partner with Risk & Compliance and Legal teams to embed compliance requirements into procurement operational workflows.
- Facilitate training and communication to ensure widespread understanding and adoption of procurement governance policies.
