**The opportunity**:
As part of its dynamic international growth, Sephora is looking for a Global Head of External Communication. Reporting directly to the Director of Global Communications, the Global Head of External Communication will be responsible for building and protecting Sephora’s reputation through the development of on-going dialogue with the media and opinion leaders.

As part of this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing Sephora’s Corporate brand image with all key external stakeholders: media, public opinion, through proactive strategies aimed at ensuring a better understanding of Sephora’s Purpose, values, vision and strategy. You will also be developing Sephora’s ability to anticipate sensitive situations and crisis through prevention plans & training, and react to them through driving response strategies, working hand in hand with all key stakeholders.

**Media Relations**:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, editors to ensure a better understanding of Sephora’s Purpose, values, vision and strategy in its core international European and French target media
- Develop and implement proactive media relations strategies on key Corporate topics around the world (e.g., Purpose, sustainability, global projects & partnerships, etc.), provide advisory on topics, content, timing
- Make sure Sephora’s media relations guidelines are understood and followed all across the world
- Defining and managing narratives and messages for Sephora’s spokespersons, preparing ad hoc media action plans on specific topics (corporate announcements, key themes such as innovation, major events and partnerships )
- Organizing press events and drafting press releases
- Promoting consistent external communications across Sephora’s communication teams and markets as well as managing the relationship with the LVMH Group to ensure coordination and consistency of media relations across the globe
- Monitoring and reporting key media metrics

**Reputation Management**:

- Lead the development and execution of reputation management strategies to protect and enhance Sephora’s brand and reputation.
- Monitor and analyse media coverage, social media sentiment, and industry trends to identify potential reputational risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders at Sephora and LVMH to ensure consistent and coherent messaging across all communication channels and touchpoints
- Promoting/fostering a reputation risk culture internally as well as an active member of the Sephora global communications network
- 7 years of experience in PR and reputation management, with a deep understanding of the global media landscape and a network of media contacts, and a successful track record of driving impactful media coverage and maintaining a positive corporate reputation.
- Strong crisis management skills and the ability to navigate and manage reputational challenges effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage with diverse stakeholders, in English and in French
- Strategic thinking and the ability to align PR and reputation initiatives with overall business objectives.
- Leadership and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with internal and external partners.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and effectively engage with very high-level management, including executive leadership with a can-do attitude.
- Understanding of corporate culture and communication protocols
- Passion/ interest for retail and beauty
