**Head of Communication group**

**Core mission**
As Head of the Communication group, which is part of the ILL’s 8-person Partnerships and Communication Service (PACS), your role will be to develop, manage and implement a full range of communication activities targeted at external audiences - our partners and the scientific community - as well as ILL staff.

**Your tasks**
- Coordinate and organise the activities of the Communication group (work schedule, budget)
- Develop and implement a communication strategy that is aligned with the Institute’s strategy
- Draw up the communication plan and lead creative brainstorming sessions; oversee the production of documents and content
- Write scientific articles and official content (primarily in English)
- Coordinate communication activities across ILL departments and staff and communication stakeholders to ensure that the communication of the Institute is coherent and comprehensive
- Represent the ILL in collaborative initiatives (such as EIROforum), in public relations activities and at certain conferences
- Support PACS activities aimed at partnerships and external funding: European projects, relations with industry, international partnerships (the ILL’s ‘Scientific Members’)
- Measure the effectiveness of communication tools and campaigns with a view to continuously improving their impact
- Monitor trends in communication tools and methods.

**Your profile**
- Level 7 qualification (Master’s degree or equivalent) in a scientific field or in scientific communication.
- You have proven experience in communication in a similar role and have a modern communication style.
- Experience of working in a scientific environment is desirable.
- You have excellent written and spoken English.
- You are an avid user of social networks and digital media.
- You have an ability to interact and communicate with all types of audience.
- You are recognised for your service-oriented attitude, your ability to work well with others and your communication skills.
