Hardware Test Designer

As our Hardware Test Designer you will report to the Test Development Manager and be a member of the Hardware Design Team. You will you design and manufacture electronic boards to allow testing of electronic components on a chip (Wafer test) or in a package (Final test). Those electronic cards will be used to interface between Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Device To Test (DUT), in accordance with our procedures.
**Your Responsibilities**
- You will participate in the development of the hardware activity for Test and be responsible for the execution of the development of electronic test boards including realization with selected subcontractors, validation and writing of reports and technical documentation in accordance with written procedures, liaison with customer, review test specifications from ASIC designers (customers) and provide feedback regarding testability and requirements towards the hardware test solution.
- You will work jointly with Test Engineers to discuss and find solutions to complex test requirements
- You will monitor and provide regular updates on your projects, including estimates and key project milestones to the project management team
- You will participate in the implementation of new techniques and continuous improvement within the Hardware Design Team.
**Requirements**:
- Engineering Degree in Electronics
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of electronic boards
- Good knowledge in printed circuits board technologies
- Knowledge of component testing is a plus
- FPGA programming experience
- Experience in the use of laboratory instrumentation: Programmable power supplies, signal generators, Power measurement, Oscilloscopes, Spectra analyzers, Vector Analyzer (VNA)
- Proficiency in MS Office tools
- Good communication skills and ability to manage customer interactions at the engineering level
- English both spoken and written compulsory
A good knowledge in the following areas is required:
- Good level in electronics digital, mixed signal (analog and digital), RF mm wave as well as FPGA’s
- Electrical schematic design
- Printed circuit design (Layout)
- Spice simulation or equivalent
- PCB manufacturing technologies
- Semiconductor test environment: ATE, handler and prober.
- Validation of the electronic boards
**Location & Travel**
This role is eligible for Flexible Working From Home (FWFH) on occasions in agreement with the Test Development Manager, but will mostly be based at our office. Occasional travel to our other offices for customer projects may be required.
