The & Other Stories Area HR is responsible for all HR initiatives in the area of recruitment, onboarding, training and development, and employee relations including performance management, compensation, benefits, and policy. Area in this Role Description means both store and offices in the market(s) you operate.

This position is based in Paris within our & Other Stories Paris Atelier (Sales team head office) and will report to &OS Area Manager.

**Core Responsibilities includes but is not limited to**:
Attract, Recruit, and Introduce
- Overall responsibility for recruitment, onboarding, training, developing, succession planning, and reducing turnover in the market(s)
- Monitor and analyze your Areas future needs including staff rotation and expansion; take actions and follow up to ensure all needs are consistently met
- Implement, facilitate, and follow up quality recruitment processes and practices, onboarding routines, training processes, and partner with ER team on all ER, Benefits, and Compensation related topics
- Coordinate recruitment overview with Global HR/Omni Sales Manager/Area Manager/Store Managers
- Support the Omni Sales/Area team and Store Managers in ensuring they have knowledge of & Other Stories interview process and available tools need to staff their own Office/stores according to the ideal level set; follow up on interview quality of leaders
- Upload, monitor, and update Smart Recruiter at &OS website and other advertising channels
- Support and provide information to all leaders to ensure that all staff are trained per &OS standards
- Monitor staff turnover and report back to Global Sales HR
- Together with Omni Sales/Area Team and Store Managers, follow up and evaluate HR KPIs to support Sales & Profit results, and initiate actions accordingly to support the business

Learn and Develop
- Overall responsibility for the training processes and workshops and ensures they are updated, relevant, and meeting business needs for the sales organization
- Monitor the need of all stores and ensure training plans are developed accordingly; work closely with Store Managers and Global Sales HR to ensure quality training of all staff
- Coordinate and plan workshop dates, trainers, and trainees for all Area specific seminars
- Maintain overview of GROW system
- Partner with Global Sales HR to coach and develop Omni Sales/Area team and Store team members in succession and development planning
- Partner with Omni Sales/Area team and Global Sales HR to ensure the developmental level of employees within the area meet the current and will meet future business needs
- Analyze relevant data such as exit interviews and surveys to assess opportunities for improvement in management development and workplace practices and create relevant actions plans for the area
- Keep overview of the performance of staff with a focus on talent.

Attractive Work Environment
- Coach Omni Sales/Area team and Store teams on how to prevent employee relations issues from occurring and how to manage them if they arise
- Counsel Omni Sales/Area team and Stores and partner with ER team and Global Sales HR on corrective action matters including approval of termination decisions and any benefits or compensation issues
- Keep up to date with changes in state or municipal employment regulations for the stores
- Partner with Benefits, Compensation, and ER teams to oversee and administer local reward initiatives such as bonus payments, wage adjustments, performance review increases, Leaves of Absence, etc.
- Partner with ER team in responding to third-party cases such as litigation, unemployment insurance, workers’ comp, etc.
- Analyze the HR KPIs and initiate actions to ensure a fair working environment
- Communicate &OS successes to other markets to help institute global policies and routines.

**Qualifications**:
**What You’ll Need to Succeed**:

- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 5 years’ experience in a HR recruitment or training role
- Fluent in English
- Basic understanding in French
- Preferably knowledge within French labor law
- Exceptional & Other Stories brand ambassador
- Ability to work both strategically as well as operationally
- Store orientation and commitment to store and staff development
- High interacting skills, empathetic approach to staff
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
- Proven organizational, analytical, problem solving, taking own initiative, and decision-making skills
- Ability to follow up, question decisions, and provide feedback in a constructive way with all levels of management
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to change
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to travel domestically up to 50% of the time
