**Opportunité: Operational Readiness Manager - Afrique Subsaharienne**

This innovative mining company is truly at the forefront of operational excellence at all levels. It currently operates on several continents and has new projects under development and in particular on this site, where they recently opened a new deposit. Currently implementing an ambitions production ramp-up project, we are hiring their Operational Readiness Manager (ORM).

The ORM will be in charge of developing and executing an Operational Readiness Management Plan to ensure that the delivery of Project’s components is in alignment with the company’s operations’ processes and organization.

This is a residential opportunity located in one of the safest countries of sub-Saharan Africa. It is also possible for family members to relocate, the local living conditions are one of the best in the region.

**Responsabilities***:

- Develop the Operations Breakdown Structure classifying required business processes, people / skills requirements, and technological support, ensuring that operational readiness activities are completed on time,
- Provide a detailed schedule and estimate for the Operational Readiness activity with specific focus on lead times, ensuring all resources i.e. people, equipment and tools are in place to meet operational readiness requirements,
- Ensure operational readiness of current and new projects that are aligned with a standard process improvement framework and methodology,
- Facilitate alignment of roles and responsibilities within the Project and Operations teams to ensure effective handover and operational ramp-up,
- Define and agree on KPI’s and ensure alignment with the stated production objectives,
- Provide a baseline detailed estimate of all materials and work to be performed directly and a detailed schedule of all activities directly related to ramp-up of production to ensure operational readiness,
- Conduct an analysis, interpret the root cause of any variances, and distribute a consolidated report to the key role players to ensure corrective action is taken,
- Establish and develop an effective communication plan between key stakeholders to ensure efficient change management as and when required,
- Distribute and communicate the detailed Facility Breakdown Structure to ensure that agreement is reached prior to commencement of production.
- Optimize human resources to ensure maximum output is delivered by the section.
- Manage a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractors can deliver their outputs within a controlled risk environment.
- Ensure environmental impact falls within and complies with statutory requirements.

**Qualifications and experiences required***:

- Engineering degree (mining, civil )
- A certification in Project Management will be highly regarded
- Solid experience in project management in the mining sector. Experience on start-up and/or ramp-up projects is desirable
- Successful management experience
- French language skills desired
- Previous site experience in Africa a plus
