Are you skilled at assessing processes and making improvements? - We’re looking for a Business Risk Specialist, whose role is to support the risk owners in managing risks. As part of the first line of defence (1st LoD), you will be asked to act as a sparring partner for UBS La Maison de Gestion (UBS LMdG) and UBS France Products teams verifying that UBS' risk strategy and policies are communicated, implemented and enforced. The range of topics you will need to cover is broad. For example: - Your first task will be to verify that UBS LMdG’s 1st LoD risk framework continues to be fit for purpose - On-going, your main responsibility will include advising, supporting and challenging risk owners / risk takers: - with the ambition to support them in managing risk effectively and foster an embedded risk culture; - regarding risk considerations in strategic & tactical discussions and decision making; - in their responsibility to understand and prioritize risks, including the identification of risks, conduct of impact assessments, risk mitigation, training of employees and reporting of risk. - You will regularly evaluate and improve the existing control framework, developing metrics to evaluate and mitigate risk, putting new processes into action and systematically tracking these - You will investigate complex situations, carry out risk-oriented reviewss, constructively challenge the status quo and provide effective risk advice to senior management. - Using your Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge in the area of asset management, investment management and investment product, you will support the business to identify risks and contribute to the development of risk mitigating measures as well as to provide SME knowledge to business / regulatory initiatives as may be required. - You will be responsible to combine and provide transparent risk reporting to your stakeholders. **Votre équipe** - You will be working in the multilingual and multicultural Business Risk Organization team of UBS France. We provide services which support the risk owners / risk takers to manage risks. These include: - specialist advice and support regarding any risk-related issues, including discussions around risk appetite, - contribution to design of controls, policies, standards / processes and support related implementation, where needed, - Risk identification through continuous monitoring and review of the risk profile of the business, - transparent risk reporting and risk assessment to stakeholders and governance bodies. As a Business Risk Specialist for UBS LMdG and UBS France Products teams, you’ll play an important role in providing informed risk advice, challenge, control activities and support to accountable executives in UBS LMdG and IPS. - UBS La Maison de Gestion ("UBS LMdG") is an Asset Management entity, responsible for the management of UBS France clients assets under discretionary mandates and for the management of collective investment funds which are distributed internally and externally. **Votre profil** - master degree or equivalent, focused on financial markets and banking activities - ideally minimum 10 years of experience working in a risk role within a portfolio management company and /or discretionary portfolio management and investment advice unit of a financial institution - clear and concise communicator, with exceptional interpersonal skills - analytic thinker, with the ability to provide practical solutions - self-starter, willing to take on responsibility (you can micromanage yourself) - fluent in French and English **A propos de nous** - UBS est le leader mondial et seul gestionnaire de fortune qui soit vraiment actif sur l'ensemble de la planète.
