Backlight Streaming delivers leading cloud-native solutions for OTT, monetization and hyper-distribution from the Zype and Wildmoka product lines. Leading media publishers rely on Backlight Streaming's full stack software solutions for video creation, management, distribution, and monetization—connecting content owners to all marketplaces globally.

We care about the details and creating first-class products at a global scale. Our Product works with the technology team to deliver Backlight's product suite. Our Product members are creative and dynamic problem solvers who dive into new challenges daily and can communicate across all levels of the organization.

The mission of the Product Manager at Backlight streaming is to translate market opportunities and customer feedback into actionable plans for reducing customer friction and building new products.

**What you'll do**:

- Conduct user and market research to identify problems and propose solutions
- Define requirements and write user stories for video publishing products
- Guide product roadmap to meet business objectives and reduce user friction
- Partner with engineers to translate product requirements into technical implementations
- Define the measure goals for features and track success over time
- Train internal customer-facing stakeholders on the value and utility of products
- Interact with the customer community by writing user guides, blog posts, and conducting demos

**What you'll need**:

- 2-4 Years of experience in a Product Management role
- Experience with enterprise SaaS products, developer tools, and/or streaming video.
- Drive to understand user needs and creatively solve problems
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in English and French
- Experience with UX and video editing a plus

**Outcomes of the role**:
By month one, familiarized with all assigned Backlight Streaming products, processes, and key stakeholders

By month three, leading discovery for a set of roadmap milestones and determining feature requirements

By month six, independently managing the discovery and R&D process for a portfolio of products
