Human by nature.- As a Competitive Intelligence Manager in Givaudan Science & Technology (S&T) Fragrances, you will organise and lead the Competitive Intelligence effort to capture, analyse and share trends and information in fragrance ingredients, delivery systems and health and well-being research and innovation, and related technologies to support & help position the research strategy of the company.- Reporting to the Global Head of S&T Fragrances, working with a cross-departmental and multidisciplinary research team, you will manage a research and innovation intelligence platform that supports the Science & Technology community and also to the Creation and Development teams by identifying technology and ingredient platform gaps and opportunities and supporting your partner argumentation.**In this exciting role based in Paris Area you will**:

- Drive research competitive intelligence by collecting, screening, analyzing and reporting available data to improve competitive understanding and guide the research strategy
- Work with one other team member, prepare Competitive intelligence information to empower our Science & Technology teams
- Improve Competitive Intelligence processes and tools
- Manage a direct report
- Work with the Research Management Committee
- Create ad hoc reports in response to market events or changes in technical landscapes
- Support the knowledge building for the Creation and Development teams and other relevant partners
- Work with the Taste & Wellbeing Competitive intelligence team to maximise synergies and information sharing

**Your professional profile includes**:

- Master's Degree or equivalent, with a scientific relevant background e.g. organic chemistry or polymer chemistry. Background chemistry with an understanding of volatile molecules
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position in the Fragrance or Flavours Industry
- Experienced in managing complex scientific topics
- Experienced working with interdisciplinary and remote teams in a matrix organization
- Proficient in research analytics
- An excellent understanding of patents and Intellectual Property needs
- Experienced communicating with partners at different levels
- Business fluent in English; additional language skills are an advantage
- Curious, organised, constructive, and team-player with a big enthusiasm for the fragrance industry
- People management skills
- Skills in the following is a must (Work with fragrance houses, a track record and vision for competitive Intelligence, knowledge of data sources and tools eg. Derwent, Pitchbook, Excel: Pivot, Power BI)
