We love to learn and genuinely find our purpose and passion in continuously improving our organization. **What would your role look like?** Within the Innovation department of Oterra, located in France at Prades le lez, you will join the "New Products Montpellier" team as a Formulation Scientist. Your main responsibilities will be to: - Ensure state of the art knowledge within the field of formulation technologies for colouring purposes, and related food ingredients, and possess fully operational level of skills in natural colors - Lead and actively contribute to the planning, coordination and execution of New Products development projects using appropriate methodology, equipment and analytics. - Set up robust protocols to validate stability and industrial feasibility of all developed colors including associated analytical tools - Ensure successful implementation of new recipes & processes from lab to upper scale - Seek for opportunities and be driving force of new developments and breakthrough innovations **Who are we looking for?** You are a Food Scientist and have a university degree in Chemical engineering or similar, having preferably a Ph.D. degree and 5-8 years of applied work experience. Further you will bring in the following skills and experience: - Skilled at food ingredients, practical experience with Natural Colors is an advantage - Strong chemical background - Skilled within formulation technologies - Good English, both spoken and written - Dynamic & proactive, rigorous, curious and critical thinking - You can adjust your communication style according to the audience and can relate well to stakeholders from other functions and cultures **What we offer you?** France is home to Oterra’s Innovation division.
