We are searching for a Distribution Area Manager for our office in le Plessis Robinson.

**Job Purpose**:
Maximize Murata’s sales revenue, growth and profit within allocated market and network and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction (“Delight the customer”).

**Responsibilites and Tasks**:

- Take ownership and responsibility and work towards continuous quality improvement in the following areas:
Customer:

- Establish best relationship to customers over all levels of the organization by regular visits
- Be the first point of contact for all Layer 2 products related requirements
- Identify, develop and manage business opportunities
- Lead promotion acitivities of new products and technologies
- Support to convert business into sales by professional technical and commercial support in cooperation with all related Sales Teams

Internal:

- Communicate via reporting tools and coordinate the customer requirements with all operational functions within the company
- Report business opportunities via reporting tools, define Key for Success and cooperate professionally with involved functional teams
- Prepare customer contract negotiations together with internal stakeholders.
- Set-up target plan together with the Business Unit Director.
- Propose new business models and co-operations with partners out of the Value Network.
- Work closely together with the Product Divisions to create customer specific products and solutions.

**Required Knowledge/Experience**:

- University degree with a technical focus, Electrical Engineering or Electronics preferred
- Solid professional experience in Sales (min. 5 years)
- Proven sales skills and market and sales development knowledge
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers as well as on Management level
- Profound knowledge in electronics systems and/or electronic components
- Good command in standard software (MS Office, Lotus Notes, etc.) and special business software (e.g. CRM tool)
- Basic knowledge in Quality Management
- Proficient spoken and written command of English language, good local language skills preferred depending on the location
- Intercultural competence coupled with good commercial skills
- Good communication skills and customer-orientated personality
- Willingness to make business trips within and outside of Europe
