Investment Solutions Associate - Climate The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank whose mission is Financing Infrastructure for Tomorrow in Asia and beyond-infrastructure with sustainability at its core. The Sectors, Themes, and Finance Solutions Department (STF) fosters technical excellence and expands the Bank's financing expertise across all sectors and themes to support both sovereign and non-sovereign investment operations. It spearheads the development and implementation of innovative investment projects and leads the introduction and operationalization of new products and financing modalities - often ahead of their mainstream adoption by the Client Departments (CDs).
In close collaboration with the CDs, the STF conducts upstream work to support and incubate new initiatives in frontier technologies, public-private partnership (PPP) advisory, and other productive sectors. It also guides the Bank's corporate strategy by setting thematic priorities such as: Green infrastructure, Technology-enabled infrastructure, Private capital mobilization (PCM), and Cross-border cooperation. In addition, the Department supports the Bank's efforts on cross-cutting themes including climate, gender and inclusivity, and nature.
STF further represents the Bank in international forums to address sectoral, thematic, and financing issues, actively networks with other development partners, and reinforces AIIB's reputation as a premier development institution contributing to the global development agenda.
STF is seeking a motivated Associate with good understanding of the challenges facing sustainable development including climate and nature crisis. The Associate will provide technical and analytical support to assist the department in carrying out its climate-related mandate and operations.

Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include:

- Work with the climate team to support on investment operations providing climate solutions throughout the project cycle by participating in the identification, design appraisal and implementation processes.
- Support on project-level assessments and determinations on Paris Agreement Alignment, climate risks (both transition and physical risks), and climate finance.
- Provide technical support on the development of methodologies for accounting greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions, and project-level GHG accounting upon requirement.
- Perform data (climate-related and beyond) collection, processing, analysis, interpretation and reporting, and draw findings presented in various formats and carry out other analytical work as required.
- Support on climate-related working groups (internal and external) activities upon requirement.
- Support knowledge sharing, capacity building and communication activities, including organizing seminars, workshops and other type of events.
- Perform other tasks as required.

**Requirements**:

- Master's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, climate and environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years of professional experience in some of the climate topics, such as physical climate risks, climate-resilient infrastructure, climate technologies including both adaptation and mitigation, GHG emissions and climate finance.
- Strong technical and analytical skills in research and presentation.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of handling multiple projects or activities under tight deadlines.
- Experience working with development institutions and experience in multilateral development bank is advantageous.
- Experience in operations or the management of projects is advantageous.
- Team player with strong communication abilities and able to work in a multicultural environment
- Ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
