**The position**
We’re looking for an energetic marketing professional who is passionate about marketing and executing successful corporate events. The Events Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing trade shows, events and conferences, virtual events and webinars for Medius and Expensya including event logistics, pre, at, and post-event demand generation programs such as web landing pages or social promotions, creative assets and messaging for each event. The Marketing Manager works with internal and external stakeholders to play a role in driving awareness of Medius and Expensya as part of Medius, as well as generating sales opportunities with new prospects and existing customers through events, tradeshows, and virtual events (first and third party.) The individual should have experience in demand gen, vendor management, event logistics, and/or hospitality and trade show industries.
As a member of the Marketing team, the Events Marketing Manager should have a deep understanding of event management and its impact in other areas of marketing such as field marketing, digital marketing, social media and public relations. This individual should be a strong communicator, be action oriented, have a strong customer/attendee focus, and have strong experience planning, organizing and executing events.
This role reports into the Head of Events & Community, EMEA and will join the global marketing team at Medius.
**Some of the tasks you will be performing**:
- Manage the EMEA events plan together with the Head of Events & Community.
- Collaborate cross functionally with internal teams and external vendors to manage the execution of innovative, high quality, results-driven marketing events including:
- Managing event budgets with forecast to actual comparisons.
- Oversee event vendors per contracts.
- Manage event creative deliverables such booth graphics, ads, videos, event signage, invitations and event branding.
- Manage marketing automation system to drive digital demand.
- Manage venue and accommodations.
- Ensure insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to.
- Plan room layouts adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.
- Manage event logistics including AV, speaker needs, catering, collateral and giveaways, and side meetings.
- Manage content of staff briefings.
- Manage staff attendance lists.
- Staff events onsite.
- Contribute to ROI program for trade shows and events to accurately obtain measurement and effectiveness of programs.
- Manage multiple projects, prioritize work as assigned.
**Requirements for the **position**:
- BS/BA in Marketing, Hospitality or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in marketing with event planning and logistics experience.
- Strong project management skills - Applies a methodical and consistent approach to deliver project objectives of scope, quality, time and cost within project constraints.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.
- Experience in third party vendor management.
- Experience managing events onsite from set up to tear down.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be proficient in English and French.
- Experience with online event registration systems and Microsoft Office, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter with hands-on approach.
- Some travel is required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills - The ability to prioritize, structure, plan and organize tasks and workload to ensure efficiency and maximum productivity.
- A desire to learn and grow in the events industry.
- Experience working with C-Level executives in corporate environment a plus.
- Experience with Marketo or other marketing automation programs a plus.
- Technology and business-to-business marketing experience a plus
