We are currently looking for a Subcontract Manager in the framework of several EPC projects coming up in Europe.

The tasks and duties are the following:
During the Pre Award Phase:

- Developing the subcontract strategy together with the responsible Project Manager;
- Sourcing, auditing and qualification of construction companies together with an auditing team;
- Interfacing with other disciplines (HSE, QA/QC, Scheduling, Engineering) to ensure project specific documents like BoQs, Scope of Works, etc. are prepared for inquiry and complied in an ITB document;
- Coordinating technical clarifications from bidders as well as required updates and revisions to the inquiry document;
- Preparing and sending of ITB documents to bidders, reception analysis of offers, preparation of Commercial comparison and analysis of offers to support recommendation for award, negotiation of Contractual terms and conditions and finalization of the subcontract document with the selected bidders.

During the Post Award Phase:

- Be the contact of Subcontractors for Contractual matters
- Attend weekly meetings with Site Manager and with Subcontractors, and manage Minutes of Meetings
- Collect data for issuing progress of the works, with Construction disciplines (e.g. from Subcontractors’ reports, approved by Construction disciplines) + record the progress vs subcontract Bills of Quantities.
- Analyze and approve Extra-works, quantity variations and claims. Record all extra works in BoQ formats. Periodically (at least once a month) prepare Change orders, which cover all extra-works over the period or separate COs for each change of scope.
- Prepare reporting and Monthly Forecast of Construction Cost and review with Project Manager (e.g. based on contractors monthly reports with a forecast).
- Prepare Monthly Acceptance for payment of Subcontractors (ensure that payments are only made for works/scope agreed in a subcontract or COs/additional agreement with extra works)
- Manage Contractual communication with Subcontractors
- Manage close-out of Subcontracts
- Manages the contract and creates contractual awareness within the team members from early in the project,
- Plans and develops contract and claim management strategies during project execution,
- Monitors and controls commercial risks and opportunities during the project lifetime, particularly related to deviations from the project baselines,
- Informs and mentors project team members on contractual requirements (notifications, alerts etc.),
- Sets up and administers claim management logs / tools,
- Facilitates communication between other disciplines (e.g. Treasury, Finance, HR) not directly involved in project execution,
- Establishes a working relationship with the client, supporting the Project Manager in managing contractual communication and negotiations.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant experience in Subcontract Management / Administration on Engineering, Procurement, Construction projects in the Energy, Oil&Gas, Petrochemical sectors
- Fluent English
- French language is an advantage
