- €65,000 Location: Paris Working model: Hybrid Overview We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join a growing international business. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys working close to the detail and is happy to personally own the accounting, rather than managing a team. This is a practical, delivery-focused position offering broad exposure across the business. It suits someone who is technically strong, reliable, and comfortable getting involved in day-to-day accounting work.
Key Responsibilities
This is a fully hands-on role. You will complete accounting entries yourself and be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the accounts.
- General Ledger accounting and ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping
- Posting manual journal entries, accruals, prepayments and adjustments
- Month-end and year-end closing activities
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Fixed assets accounting
- Preparation and review of VAT and other local tax filings
- Supporting statutory audits and responding to auditor queries
- Producing basic management reporting and financial analysis
- Working closely with internal stakeholders on accounting queries and improvements There is no team management responsibility in this role. The focus is on strong technical delivery and attention to detail. What We’re Looking For
- Solid experience in general accounting and month-end close
- Comfortable with manual accounting entries and reconciliations
- Strong technical accounting fundamentals and accuracy
- Experience in an international or multi-entity environment is beneficial
- Able to work independently and take ownership of the accounts
- Pragmatic, hands-on mindset and willingness to “roll up sleeves”
- Fluent French AND fluent English This role would suit:
