**Contexte**

L’équipe Systems Engineering est basée à Sophia Antipolis. L’équipe interagit avec les clients et est responsable de leur expérience pour toute la technologie liée aux solutions i.MX de NXP. L’objectif est donc de fournir des solutions techniques aux clients pour leur permettre d’expérimenter tous les avantages des produits NXP dans leur propre environnement. L’équipe travaille sur les domaines du multimédia et de la sécurité pour des clients en automobile, industriel et médical.

Dans ce cadre, le stage consiste à intégrer l’équipe SE sur une durée de 6 mois afin de participer au développement des fonctionnalités de nos logiciels embarqués.

**Votre Mission**

GStreamer est un framework multimédia basé sur un pipeline qui relie une grande variété de systèmes de traitement multimédia.
- Ajout de la prise en charge du nouveau format de pixel au plugin existant.
- Contribution Upstream.
- Créer un nouveau plugin mesurant la bande passante DDR en temps réel.
- Utiliser le compteur HW de la famille i.MX8 pour récupérer la consommation DDR instantanée.
- Les mesures seront affichées dans une overlay graphique.
- Intégration de la démo au système de build Yocto.

**Votre Profil**
- Dernière année d’école d’ingénieur ou Master II en Informatique, Systèmes Embarqués ou électronique.
- Compétences C/C++, expérience dans le développement de pilotes de bas niveau.
- Expérience dans l'un des langages de script : Python/bash
- La connaissance de Gstreamer est un plus.
- Bon niveau d’anglais exigé.

**Context**

The Systems Engineering team is based in Sophia Antipolis. The team interacts with customers and is responsible for their experience with all the technology related to NXP's i.MX solutions. The goal is to provide technical solutions to customers to experience all the benefits of NXP products in their own environment. The team works on multimedia and security areas for customers in automotive, industrial and IoT.

In this context, the internship consists of integrating SE team over a period of 6 months in order to participate in the features development of our embedded software.

**Your mission**

GStreamer is a pipeline-based multimedia framework that links together a wide variety of media processing systems to complete complex workflows.
- Add support for new pixel format to existing plugin.
- Upstream contribution
- Create a new plugin measuring DDR bandwidth in real time.
- Use the hardware counter of the i.MX8 family to retrieve the instantaneous DDR consumption.
- The measurements will be displayed in a graphical overlay.
- Integration of the demo to Yocto build system

**Your profile**
- Last year of Master’s/Bachelors’s Degree in Computer Science, Embedded systems or Electrical Engineering
- C/C++ skills, experience in low-level driver development
- Experience in one of scripting languages: Python / bash
- Knowledge of Gstreamer is a plus
- A good level of English is required
