What you’ll do & Who you are
- The Tech (Product + Engineering) teams at leboncoin represent over 600 people in France, between Paris and Nantes. As a Tech Community Advocate, you will build and nurture a vibrant tech community while driving sustainable engineering and product practices within our organization. You will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to shape our local French tech community strategy, establish partnerships and collaborations with external tech communities that will bring learning opportunities for our tech employees. Being part of the Space team, your goal is to foster a culture of collaboration, collective learning, innovation, and environmental stewardship within our organization and the broader tech community.
- What you’ll do
Identify and engage with key external tech communities in France, including engineering and product experts, thought leaders, and external organizations (including other companies, academia, industry meetups, NGOs, and government bodies) to foster meaningful relationships, and collaborations with/for our tech teams.
Organize and facilitate tech events (meetups, conferences, workshops, hackathons etc.) to bring the community together and encourage knowledge sharing and networking in our French tech hubs - Paris and Nantes.
Foster an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages participation and contribution of our people to our tech events and external tech conferences in France and Europe.
Champion sustainable engineering & product principles and practices within the organization, ensuring the integration of sustainability considerations in all our Engineering and Product initiatives.
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the tech community and the organization.
Collaborate with HR and local ERGs (Employees Resource Groups) to develop and implement strategies to foster a diverse and inclusive tech community, including outreach programs, mentorship initiatives, and partnerships with underrepresented groups.
Offer training programs for employees, including soft skills training, public speaking, writing tech articles for our leboncoin tech blog and our Adevinta tech blog, and other relevant areas that promote personal and professional growth.
Collaborate with the employer branding & communications teams to ensure consistent content about daily-life at leboncoin and Adevinta P&T, across various internal communication channels and external communications (tech blog, social media, streaming etc.)
- Who you are
Fluent in French and in English (spoken and written) with remarkable interpersonal skills.
You have a previous background in the tech industry as an Engineer or a Product role or a strong knowledge of this ecosystem
You thrive in converting complex Engineering & Product topics questions into a collaborative strategy with internal and external stakeholders, providing specific requirements, relevant metrics and meaningful insights to assess your projects.
You are able to slice big projects into smaller pieces and effectively communicate with a diverse set of people to achieve the right outcomes
You are somewhat flexible with your working hours as some tech events or meetups may take place during lunch or in the evening (no overtime expected)
You are currently a resident of France and you are entitled to work here (EU citizen, in possession of VISA, residence permit etc.).
