Rov Operations Manager

A position has arisen in DeepOcean Africa for a ROV Operations Manager, to manage offshore ROV & Survey Operations to meet Clients requirements.

DeepOcean Africa owns and operates a fleet of in-house Observation and Work Class ROVs

DeepOcean Africa delivers ROV offshore services inclusive of personnel and equipment to its client in Africa in order to support a variety of offshore operations ranging from inspection works to light construction support and field support services.

The ROV operations manager will be responsible for the timely, safe and cost effective delivery in accordance with the groups procedures and HSEQS standards of all DeepOcean Africa remote ROV operations including delivery of ready for use and fit for purpose ROVs, dedicated project specific equipment, project specific procedures and risk assessments as well of delivery of offshore personnel in collaboration with DeepOcean Africa crewing department.

Your role

Responsible for the preparation, delivery and close out of DeepOcean Africa remote ROV operation projects
Responsible for maintenance of ROV fleet and operational offshore support in collaboration with DeepOcean Africa technical team operating under his supervision
Responsible for manning of ROV operations in collaboration with DeepOcean Africa crewing department
Budget owner for ROV projects inclusive of cost tracking and client invoicing
Responsible for sourcing, procurement and delivery of project specific tooling in collaboration with DeepOcean Africa procurement and logistics department
Responsible for ROV operation HSEQS performance in collaboration with DeepOcean Africa QHSE department. A relentless focus on how to improve HSEQS within Operations is expected from the ROV Operations Manager.
Ensure day to day onshore support of ROV operations with in country operations personnel (base manager and / or country manager as applicable)
Support Commercial team in bids
Work with all DeepOcean Africa Departments (commercial, crewing, HSEQ, procurement, finance) to deliver an efficient quality of service

Commercial and client relation management
ROV OPEX control
ROV Business CAPEX and business plan for expansion
ROV crew competence and training plan management
Monthly internal reporting of financial performance
QHSES policy respect and implementation on ROV operations
Equipment tracking and status monitoring
Prepare dedicated Operations procedures & tasks plans
Implement risk assessment with HSEQs Department
Daily follow-up of operations
Responsible for deliverables to Client
Work collaboratively with Finance Department (QA/QC)
Prepare for
- and participate in Monthly Operations Review

Your education/qualification

Fluent in French and English
Experience as a ROV Operations Manager or ROV Superintendent
Survey experience

You will report to the Managing Director of DeepOcean Africa and be responsible for the Onshore Coordinators and the ROV Technical Manager.
