A day in the life of the Strategic Portfolio and Road Manager Insurance
- Understand bank-insurance drivers as customer needs, value propositions, distribution channels, legal and competitive environments;
- Be at the core of the strategy definition for bank-insurance at ING by translating business ambitions to the relevant strategy and roll out an efficient execution plan;
- Part of the Management Team, support the Tribe Lead Insurance on key strategic planning topics;
- Build and maintain a complete overview of all projects of the Tribe Insurance, challenge and build the strategic plan for the Tribe;
- Lead and maintain mid-term change planning and ensure timely realisation of the committed changes in the quarterly QBR;
- Collect, maintain and communicate all external /internal dependencies for projects of Tribe Insurance ;
- Identify and implement areas of improvements to the overall process of strategic planning and roadmap;
- Contact point for Transformation office / other tribes related to reporting towards exco or any other query related to insurance roadmap;
- Support the daily strategic planning run - e.g.: coordination of MT meetings, follow-up of action points, preparation and challenging of content of key discussion;
- Actively contribute to the preparation of key strategic presentations on the realizations and ambitions of the Tribe;
- Support the Tribe to kick off and organize the launch of new initiatives.

- 5 years of experience in a similar role of strategic planning, portfolio manager or road manager;
- Digital native with experience in delivering superior seamless customer experience through multi distribution channels;
- Great organizational skills and hands-on attitude to be able to manage several topics/projects and deliver concrete results in a structured way;
- Ability to both manage and steer end-to-end roadmaps as well as to deliver concrete projects from A to Z;
- Look ahead and show strategic mindset to find future opportunities to be translated into concrete strategies;
- Autonomous, driven for results, curious and entrepreneurial mindset;
- Excellent communication (written & oral) and stakeholder management skills to work with various parties and align them towards a common goal;
- Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French.

You are at the core of the design implementation and follow-up of the strategy for insurances at ING.

You have senior leadership exposure by supporting the Insurance Tribe Lead on strategic development and report to the Product Lead of Transformation Success.

You are the central point between the Insurance tribe and other tribes directly involved in the successful realization of our roadmap for insurances: private individual, business banking.
