**Application Laboratory Manager / Responsable Laboratoire d’Application (h/f/x)**

**The role**:
**Application Development**
- Optimize formulations to meet specific customer needs, including flavor, texture, nutritional requirements, and shelf life
- Conduct hands-on product trials and demonstrations in the laboratory and customer facilities

**Technical Support and Customer Collaboration**
- Sales training
- Provide technical support on formulation or process challenges for customer projects

**Laboratory Testing and Analysis**
- Conduct physical, chemical, and sensory analyses of products to ensure quality and performance
- Test and validate formulations for stability, process feasibility, and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of experiments and test results for internal and external reporting

**Research and Innovation**
- Stay updated on food industry trends, novel ingredients, and emerging technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into formulations and processes.

**Compliance and Documentation**
- Ensure alignment of all Application laboratory procedures within the group.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders

**Management, Collaboration and Training**
- Management of the Laboratory including people management for our Application Technologist (one direct report)
- Work closely with global and local R&D teams to align on project goals and deliverables
- Train and guide junior staff or interns on laboratory procedures and technical knowledge
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field
- Strong understanding of European food regulations
- Proficient in English and French, both written and spoken
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, especially for customer-facing interactions.
- Availability for occasional travel within France or Europe to customer sites or industry events
