About the role:
This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager to be based in our Paris office. The role will be the face of Finance in the local organisation with reporting responsibility for all Financial Controlling matters for BSI France with three areas of focus: Accounting & Financial Control, Team Leadership and Business Partnering.

Responsibilities include:
- Accounting & Financial Control
- Ownership and responsibility for the financial accounting and reporting of entities belonging to France: Assurance, Regulatory Services and Enabling Functions. Ensuring timely, accurate and comprehensive information be made available to the Group and Key Stakeholders.
- Responsible for ensuring the control environment is in place and robust across all areas of the business.
- Responsible for working with Group Tax and Treasury to ensure adequate working capital and repatriation of profits where appropriate, including preparation of monthly cash-flow forecasts.
- Working with the Finance Shared Service Centre UK, ensuring that services provided for the supervised entities are performed in accordance with the local Accounting Act, the Value Added Tax Act, and the Corporate Income Tax Act.
- Coordination of year end statutory accounts and audits for supervised entities -ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert of local laws and legislation that impact the business and to take action to ensure changes are made to systems and processes as needed.
- Managing following financial processes:

- Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payables
- Transfer Pricing

Leadership
- Lead the in-country Finance team with responsibility for determining and organising the scope of work.
- Build and drive a high performing Finance team, setting objectives, creating alignment to strategy, and effectively communicating, engaging and influencing the team.
- Create a great place to work for the Finance team; enable your team to fulfil their potential, build trust and confidence, challenge the status quo, and maximise training and development opportunities to continually grow and improve on what we do.
- Ensure teams’ objectives and priorities are set up in consultation with stream finance to ensure alignment. Where local resourcing gaps or requirements are identified, pro-actively discuss them with both regional and stream finance functions to ensure quick and efficient resolution.

Business Partnering
- Acting as a finance business partner to the Assurance business leadership team of BSI France, providing insightful data to enable the business to make effective decisions aligned to the Strategic objectives of BSI.
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans built in consultation with business leaders and stream finance teams.

Knowledge and Experience Required
- Knowledge of local and IFRS accounting standards as well as local taxation
- Extensive experience in finance with demonstrable experience of managing teams
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and interrogate data to provide business insight
- Strong communication skills with the ability to relay financial information to required senior stakeholders
- Excellent English language skills

Education and Qualifications
- University degree or equivalent and formal qualifications or equivalent with a focus on accounting / financial control
