Comprising 1,650 researchers spread across 14 Research Centres around the world, our Global R&D team aims to continuously improve the quality of steel and its manufacturing processes. This involves investigating and developing disruptive technologies, reducing the carbon footprint of steel, and optimizing costs while maintaining uncompromising quality. Part of Global R&D division of ArcelorMittal, Maizières Process research center aims at contributing to ArcelorMittal’s production lines competitiveness and sustainability by the development or improvement of innovative processes or processing routes (from Mining and Mineral Processes to Metallic Coating). Core activity consist in the development & deployment of process solutions: - Sustainability (reduction of pollutants & CO2 emissions, energy footprints, by-products) - Quality, Cost, Yield, Reliability improvements - Evaluation of raw materials value (coals, scraps, ores,) - License to Operate - Process adaption for new products development Maizières Process research center gathers about 250 researchers located in three geographical areas (Maizières-les Metz, Forbach and Montataire) and more than 35 nationalities. You report directly to Process Research Center director and work in collaboration with Global R&D & Maizières Campus safety manager. **Your role**: - Deploying health & safety culture transformation projects - Supporting managers to develop their impact in terms of health, safety and environment within operational teams. - Ensuring the effective implementation of health, safety and environment standards and routines, identifying gaps, and proposing improvement actions. - Monitoring performance indicators and progress measurement, as well as associated action plans. **Your profile**: You hold a Master degree in engineering or equivalent experience, You have at least 3 years of experience in an industrial environment or in R&D. **Your competencies**: A specialization or experience in an HSE structure and training in HSE management systems ISO45001 and ISO14001 are an asset. Fluent both in French and in English. Beyond your technical skills, you enjoy working in the field, you have an open mind and good interpersonal skills with the teams. You have abilities in cross-functional management, communication skills, leadership, and the ability to unite.
