Junior Compliance Legal Counsel

As part of Questel’s **Global Legal Department **and reporting to the head of the global legal department, you will contribute to the following missions:
Assist in the implementation of the **international economic sanctions** framework:
- Analyze third parties (customers and suppliers) targeted by restrictive measures and present the assessment results to the Compliance Legal Manager for assessment
- Maintain third party sanctions assessment results up to date
- Ensure communication of sanctions assessment results to the relevant teams
- Conduct research on high-risk jurisdictions and sanctions assessment guidelines to assist in the implementation of sanctions guidelines
Assist in the implementation of the **anti-corruption** framework in compliance with the Sapin 2 law:
- Check accuracy of the third-party data communicated by the group entities
- Analyse third party assessment results and report to the Compliance Legal Manager
- Assist in drafting of anti-corruption policies/procedures with the help of the direct-line manager
- Assist in the implementation of anti-corruption training and communications
Assist in the** implementation of the** **GDPR** for the entities of the Group:
- Annual update of GDPR registers and processes (privacy by design, notification of data breaches, processing of requests to exercise rights, etc)
- Update and finalize policies (personal data protection policy/ privacy notice/ confidentiality policy/ cookie notice, )
- Draft DPA/ SCC templates for the group and for clients and suppliers
Monitor the day-to-day **performance of compliance assessments** (incl data protection impact)
Contribute to various projects and initiatives to strengthen the compliance optimization culture

- Master’s degree in law with a specialization in Compliance
- First successful experience as legal compliance counsel
- Experience in a multinational environment
- Experience appreciated within an IT sector company (IT service provider)
- Continuous improvement approach towards compliance legal processes
- Advanced analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Strong personal organization and rigor
- Capacity to work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
- Fluency in English and French (oral & written) are essential, and other languages appreciated
