Senior Product Designer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer with a strong bias for action, a love for users, and enthusiasm for data to join our cross-functional teams in elevating the experience for private hire drivers (PHV), licensed taxi drivers, and company owners partnering with FREE NOW.

This is the core of the FREE NOW service: our ride-hailing offering in multiple cities across Europe. Some of the products you'll be crafting and helping to evolve include the FREE NOW Driver iOS and Android apps, the Driver Portal, registration flows, and internal back-office tools.

In this role, you'll report to Fernanda Marques, Product Design Lead at the Driver Domain, under Alin Meceanu's leadership, as the VP of Research & Design. You can join us either in one of our offices in Barcelona, Hamburg, or Berlin - or partially or fully remotely in one of the 11 countries where we have a legal entity**

You'll work closely with other Product Designers, UX Researchers, and UX Content Writers, as well as the cross-functional squads, to deliver high-quality experiences that help solve drivers' problems and support them in achieving their goals. You also will play an active role in shaping the UX Culture and processes at FREE NOW, helping nurture a collaborative and open-minded environment alongside people with different backgrounds, focuses, strengths, and experience levels.

What you will do:

- Lead discovery, exploration, crafting, and development processes in close collaboration with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other stakeholders to bring great ideas to life;
- Champion experimentation. You will be assisting Product Managers and UX Researchers with defining problem spaces, working on hypotheses, designing experiments, and later interpreting results and reiterating on those;
- Translate complex business and user requirements into conceptual designs and user journeys to solve usability issues and serve user needs;
- Use data to challenge and validate design decisions in an ongoing development process that strives to always improve the user experience;
- Craft high-quality and production-ready design assets
- Support fellow designers through mentoring and critiquing so they can do their best work;
- Stewarding quality and consistency.

**Your profile**:

- You have around 5 years of UX Designer or Product Designer, and have worked in a fast-paced environment such as start-ups and tech companies;
- You can craft delightful and efficient interfaces and have a keen eye for what makes a good user experience and a supportive, accessible, and scalable user interface;
- You can clearly articulate your design vision and ideas through verbal and written explanation, sketching, or quick mock-ups to small or large groups, from designers to the leadership team;
- You have strong experience in working with data and understand when and how to use quantitative and qualitative data to drive design decisions and understand the values and shortcomings of each;
- You are able and always willing to make your work and progress transparent and visible to relevant others within the organisation;
- You're experienced in facilitating brainstorming and product discovery sessions and getting consensus among a large, diverse group of stakeholders;
- You can convert ideas quickly into design artifacts to communicate your thinking efficiently and support a productive discussion with your teams.
