As CPU Performance Verification / Hardware Emulation engineer, you will directly contribute to the definition and validation of Arm’s next-gen processor micro-architecture. Working alongside our world leading hardware and software experts, your main role will consist in developing and maintaining our CPU performance benchmarking framework, including the hardware platforms as well as all associated scripts and tools. **Responsibilities**: - Define and set up the benchmarking environments, in simulation, hardware emulation or FPGA - Develop and maintain an automated framework around these environments, from pre-processing to post-processing - Use these environments to run a diverse set of benchmarks on the CPU under development, and generate comprehensive reports to the design team - Analyse performance outliers, identify the source of the issue(s), and propose appropriate hardware or software fixes when applicable **Required Skills and Experience**: - Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering - Experience with pre-silicon verification environments (simulation, hardware emulation, FPGA) - Habits of Linux environment - Good English interpersonal skills **"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience**: - Scripting skills in Python or Perl - Experience with CPU/System performance modelling or pre-silicon performance analysis - Verilog and/or SystemVerilog - Programming skills in C, C++ and Assembly - Familiarity with CPU micro-architectural concepts **In Return**: Arm® technology is at the heart of a computing and connectivity revolution that is transforming the way people live and businesses operate.
