**Summary / Role Purpose**

The SimAI platform is a SaaS AI-based technology that brings unprecedented speed, innovation and accessibility to simulation. It is based on proprietary Deep Learning algorithms at the forefront of AI state of the art. With Ansys SimAI, users can train AI models using simulation results and then can reliably predict the performance of complex problems in minutes instead of hours or days. It empowers users to make decisions faster, enables leaner iterations, and boosts innovation.

The Senior R&D Engineer - Frontend Developer will contribute to the development of the user-facing part of the SimAI SaaS platform. Senior R&D Engineer - Frontend Developer will use last-generation tools (vue3, typescript). Senior R&D Engineer - Frontend Developer problem-solving skills will help us tackle complex issues. To do this, The Senior R&D Engineer - Frontend Developer will collaborate with a team of experts who are, together, building the future of computer-assisted system design.

In our team, autonomy is key. The Senior R&D Engineer - Frontend Developer will be tasked with end-to-end jobs from problem definition to implementation.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Understand customer requirements
- Design, implement, maintain and test frontend services, including new parts of the product that follow R&D research effort
- Understand and use best practices
- Perform bug qualification, release testing
- Implement automated testing for frontend
- Work in close collaboration with the product, design and UI/UX team on a day-to-day basis

**Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience**
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years’ experience, MS with 3 years’ experience
- 6 years of professional experience developing frontend services
- Software development experience, on open-source software or in a professional setting
- Deep knowledge of frontend technologies

**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**
- Top-notch communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of, and taste for elegant design
- You love pixel-perfect interfaces
- Willing to solve hard User Interface problems with a product and designer team
- Willing to harmonize a product, which is leveraging highly complex technologies under a simple interface
- Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
- Experience with typescript, vue3 and Python
