Established in 2014, SuperGrid Institute is an independent private company with over 150 employees of 21 different nationalities. The institute is a key player for energy transition in France and throughout Europe, specialising in innovative high and medium voltage direct current (HVDC and MVDC) power systems. SuperGrid Institute also develops new technologies for the integration of renewable energies into the electricity networks of the future. SuperGrid Institute has been ranked every year since 2018, reaching the podium 3 times in the INPI prize list. **General Context** Under the supervision of the Head of the "Switching Cells & Valves" activity of the "Power Electronics & Converters" program you will develop high-performance and innovative converters by providing original and reliable solutions with high efficiency. In this context, you will coordinate the activities for which you are responsible with the R&D engineers of the other sub-programs, the Innovation and System engineer and the project manager and carry out these activities in project mode, guaranteeing compliance with safety, costs, deadlines and quality. You will have the opportunity to work on and discover the very first power converter technologies of the future. **Objectives / Missions** - In project mode, you will ensure the technical coordination of the development of converters with industrial partners - Design of electronic control boards and converter technology bricks - Circuit-type simulations, calculation of losses and thermal design - Prototyping of mechanical assemblies including power modules, passive components, busbars and heatsinks - Preparation and execution of validation tests - Writing of technical and progress reports - Participate in conferences or communication events to present the results of R&D activities - Contribute to the valorisation/IP of R&D results Engineer (Master) or PhD in Power Electronics, you have at least 5 years experience in power converter design. **Technical skills** - Power converters: electronic, electrical, thermal, dielectric and mechanical circuit design - EMC: understanding and interpreting electromagnetic compatibility issues - Spoken languages: French/English *** **Personal skills** - Ability to analyse and summarise - Taste for teamwork - Autonomy - Proactivity - Communication skills - Rigour - Curiosity and creativity
