Hydro Power - a major player in the hydroelectricity generation market - is a business division of GE Vernova. Our work includes the designing, manufacturing, and installation of equipment for hydroelectric power plants, as well as servicing and refurbishing existing facilities. Hydro Power’s turbines and generators represent more than 25% of the total installed capacity worldwide, with 4000 employees present in more than 30 countries.
GE Vernova, Hydro Power is looking for a Service Quality Leader for the EMEA region, in charge of the regional service quality department. As a member of a project team, you will be responsible for leading service projects and, at the same time, leading a team of Service Quality Leaders to ensure compliance with quality requirements within GE procedures and standards as well as customer contractual requirements.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
As leader of the Service Quality:
- Coordinate the team of Service Project Quality Leaders for operational excellence.
- Define the teams’ priorities, maintain touchpoints and performance reviews.
- Coordinate all the quality related activities within the service projects.
- Participate in service process reviews and optimizations
**At Project Launch**:
- Read, understand, and analyse the Project Contract in terms of QA/QC.
- Provide the Contract QA/QC requirements to the Project Team, and support Function Kick-Off meetings to ensure that all Contract specific requirements are transmitted to all stakeholders (Suppliers, GE2GE,).
- Define the Project specific quality processes and documents as per Contract Requirements to meet Customer requirements.
- Consolidate lessons learned from previous projects to make them actionable for preventing future issues.
- Define with Service Managers the strategy for Quality Assurance, and Project Risk identification, translate the identified risks into mitigation plans for the functions.
- Issue the Project Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan and get them approved by the Customer. Ensure communication to and use by the Functions
**During Project Execution**:
- Implement, support, monitor compliance with project processes & tools (PGR, PMR, R&O, DR, NCR/CoQ)
- Prepare and Coordinate quality Inspections as per ITP with Customer and Supply Chain to secure fulfilling the quality and contract requirements.
- Manage the Databook (project quality records) preparation and delivery, assuring compliance with customer requirements: track, submit timely & get approval by the Customer.
- Monitor project process performance on periodic basis (Lagging metrics: VoC score, Escaping defects, Cost of Non-Quality) and implement/lead appropriate actions to improve results.
- Lead the VoC process, making sure we receive periodic answers from the customer and treat them accordingly.
- Ensure relevance of all non-conformities including cost of non-quality data related to the Project.
- Support Service Project Managers for the analysis & management of Cost of non-quality, the related claim process, curative and containment, corrective and preventive actions associated.
- Obtain Customer approval of Non-Conformity curative plan when relevant.
- Gather, analyse, circulate feedback to the organization (VoC, LL, Close Out)
**Site Preparation**:
- Adapt to the project best practices for execution at site erection phase.
- Support Site Leader for the preparation of all resources needed for excellent execution at site, including trainings, personal qualifications, proper information, etc.
**Site Execution**:
- Ensure execution as per GE requirements (valid documents, control plan)
- Ensure qualification of staff & maintenance of tools, (calibration, parameter recording, qualifications for measurement, welding, painting )
- Ensure quality records are done as per control plan and support coordination with 3rd party/customer
- Perform process audits at site
- Support the preparation of documents to protect GE in case of third party claims.
- Ensure the execution of the process from Red Mark to As-Build documentation.
**Required Qualifications**:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Significant professional experience in Quality or Project Management or Site Operations
- Significant leadership experience with direct and indirect (matrix) reports
- Multicultural and remote team management skills
- Fluent in French and English
- Rigor for compliance and EHS
