Vp - Relationship Manager, France Benelux

We have an exciting opportunity for a senior client facing role to be responsible for developing both new and existing business relationships within the France Benelux region.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conducting Business Development in the region (strategic prospecting, on-boarding of new rating relationships, identifying and developing new market segments).
- Proactively and independently manage the relationships of about 70 complex key accounts within different sectors across the FBNL region. Primary commercial contact for these key accounts in portfolio.
- Run extensive outreach programs to existing accounts, target companies and intermediaries. Expect to spend approximately 50% of their time meeting customers (physically and virtually).
- Negotiate commercial terms including fees for new and existing customers.
- Proactively seek opportunities and prepare strategically competitive proposals.
- Contribute to the creation and execution of a strategic plan to expand and defend the business for the FBNL territory for each of Moody’s fundamental franchises and ESG business segment.
- Organize meetings with investors to better understand demand and shape the value proposition.
- Represent the Relationship Management team at internal meetings with the analytical team and other departments where applicable.
- Provide effective guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Provide support to and temporarily back-up the Head of Relationship Management for the region.
- Provide support and back-up for other sub-regions as needed.
- Provide feedback to Product Management team on innovative ideas for product development.
- Ensure accurate and up to date business and customer records.
- Senior officer, expected to demonstrate leadership, expertise and highly professional attitude, culture of compliance.
- Minimum of Undergraduate / First Level degree (or equivalent) preferably in finance, accounting, business, or economics.
- Extensive experience in the financial services industry or similar industry is required.
- Fluent in English and French essential (written and spoken).
- Previous experience in sales and marketing is desired.
- Previous experience from the debt capital markets is desired.
**Requirements**:
- Independently maintain active relationships with issuers and market participants at all levels.
- Ability to effectively chair several meetings daily with clients across different sectors.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to reach out and connect with C-level executives.
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to articulate and explain Moody’s value proposition.
- Able to negotiate and defend pricing, contracts, and renewals; expand business with existing relationships through cross-selling.
- Extensive knowledge on financial instruments, key characteristics and dynamics of capital and credit markets in the France and Benelux region.
- Ability to quickly grasp an understanding of Moody’s products and services, contracts, and general conduct of business.
- Embraces the concept of full ownership of their customers and targets, proven leadership skills and attributes.
- Able to flex between Account Management to Business Development activities.
- Able to work independently to achieve business objectives.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Team player; able to work effectively with a geographically diverse and multi-cultural team.
