Business Support

Local Unit & Position Description:
We are looking for a Business Support Assistant in France. The position will report to the Team Leader Business Support Benelux & France and will aim at being the support for the surveyor network for France helping colleagues all over France in their interaction with customer and colleague all over the world.

**Main tasks**:

- Receiving and handling customer requests for services including collaboration with technical teams, Surveyors, Team Leads, or other units around the world, like approval centers in Høvik, Hamburg and others
- Planning of inspection activities, ensuring in time delivery for demanding customers
- Contract management in cooperation with surveyors and productions managers
- Invoice preparation and issuance
- Assist production to follow up work in progress and planning of long term activities
- Assist finances for account receivables
- Office Manager for Saint Nazaire offices
- Office based position (Saint Nazaire office)

Position Qualifications:

- Professional degree
- Fluent business English
- Knowledge, experience and or interest in Maritime Classification and Maritime Industry would be an advantage.
- Experience in business support tasks
- Experience in sales administration, customer service, or sales of technical services
- MS Office skills and IT experience with shared documents management, customer database

- Demonstrated high level of customer focus, service, and solution orientation
- Ability to work on own initiative with a high level of planning and organizing
- Excellent communication skills, written and orally, ideally obtained in a business support role
- A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate across groups for shared goals and aims

Area Benelux & France is part of the Maritime Region West Europe consisting of a team of approximately 73 enthusiastic and committed employees taking care of various technical services. These services are related to the following disciplines: CMC - Certification of Materials and Components for vessels and offshore installations. NB - New Building classification for vessels and offshore installations. VMC/VCA - Verification of Materials and Components, for equipment or installations outside certification or classification requirements.

There are five office locations in the area; Antwerp, Le Havre, Marseille, Saint Nazaire and Rotterdam. In addition, several of our surveyors are living close to our clients to cover the geographical spread of our Area.

Recent examples are electronic certificates, remote inspections, 3D printing, sensor based maintenance, alternative fuels and now heading towards autonomous shipping.
