Engineering Project Leader

Based at our CERGY-PONTOISE office in France, an exciting job opportunity has arisen within NVENT Thermal Management for a Project Engineer to direct and manage project technical requirements through liaison with new and existing clients to ensure that completion is achieved within budget and agreed timescales. This position reports to the Country Operations Leader France.

The Project Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities;

Nvent Thermal
- To establish project technical requirements through regular liaison with new and existing clients.
- Take responsibility for project technical requirements by directing and managing design resource (Internal & others Eng/Design centers located in India, Romania,
- Ensure all bought out equipment (such as Panels, C&M panels, Marshalling, boxes,associated with projects is correctly specified.
- Represent NVENT THERMAL Management in engineering design discussions with Clients and sub-contractors
- Regularly monitor actual project progress against initial agreed schedule instigating corrective measures where necessary to ensure deadlines are met to ensure client satisfaction.
- Assist in the development of new (and modifications to existing) engineering software/techniques that will enhance the service provided to our clients.
- Participate in development and improvement initiatives, and undertake internal and external training and product awareness.
- Willing and able to spend time away from “home office” at either client offices or other Nvent Thermal Management locations
- Programming C&M advanced system such as NGC20, NGC30, NGC40, ELEXANT systems for dedicated projects & training client end-users.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 to 5 years Project Engineering experience obtained in a process environment (preferably within the Oil, Gas or Petrochemical industries).
- Computer literate - able to utilize in-house Nvent design software packages and proficient in a wide variety of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Autocad)
- Be a self-starter/self-motivated, detail oriented and a good communicator, both written and oral.
- Full driving licence.
- Fluent in French and in English
