**Benchmarking of computer Assisted History Matching tools for Reservoir Simulation**:
**Objective**:
In the objective to improve our efficiency and knowledge in history matching, Beicip-Franlab offers an internship to investigate and benchmark different available software and techniques used for assisted history matching. ERT will be tested for automating complex workflows such as uncertainty quantification and data assimilation. The gradient deformation technique will also be studied using the experience from IFPEN and the available software used in the oil industry. The final objective is to conclude on the usability of this kind of technique in the day-to-day activities of reservoir engineers in Beicip-Franlab.
The internship will be supervised by a senior reservoir engineer.
**Software used**:
- Reservoir simulator (IFPEN PumaFlow)
- Resoptima Resx (demonstration license)
- ERT Ensemble-based Reservoir Tool (open-source software from Equinor)
- IFPEN Condor (gradient deformation tool)

**Profil recherché**:
Final year student enrolled in a master’s degree program with geosciences and reservoir engineering skills. Fast learner and eagerness to understand and master technical software. Knowledge of Python programming is also required.
