**Duties**:
The Press and Media Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Public Diplomacy Officer Spokesperson (PDO/SPOX) or Public Affairs Officer (PAO) designee. The position has no supervisory responsibilities. Monitors French press and media coverage of issues of importance to the United States. Identifies and advises Mission leadership on strategies for promoting accurate, balanced French press and media coverage of U.S. foreign policy and American interests, correcting misinformation and countering disinformation. Builds productive relationships with press and media professionals in person and online.

**Qualifications and Evaluations**:
- Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: a minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in a media outlet, think tank, university, NGO, international organization, foreign embassy, government office, or corporation is required, with responsibility for public affairs, journalism, communications, marketing, managing public relations, outreach events, press conferences, and other media interactions as significant parts of the job is required.
- Education Requirements:
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Liberal Arts, or local equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE (THESE WILL BE TESTED): French and English Fluent required.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in France may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
**SALARY**: the **annual gross salary includes**:
- the profit sharing allowance,
- the vacation allowance,
- the bonus allowance
- and the “Comité d’Entreprise” allowance.
**MEAL TICKETS**: Meal tickets have a face value of EUR 8.25/day.
60% of the daily amount is paid by the USG. An employee contribution of EUR 3.30 per ticket will be deducted by CGFS through the FSN payroll system. The number of meal tickets is limited to 202 workdays per year.
**TRANSPORTATION**:The Mission provides a transportation allowance to employees who are scheduled to work at least 17.5 hours per week are eligible for a reimbursement of 50% of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes.
Employees who are scheduled to work less than 17.5 hours per week are eligible for a prorated reimbursement of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes. Proration is based on the number of hours worked in a week compared to half a full-time workweek, i.e., 17.5 hour
**HOLIDAYS**: The U.S. Missions in France observe eleven U.S. holidays per year and up to ten French holidays.
