Eu - Senior System Engineering Specialist

**DESCRIPTION OF THE TASK**:

- As a Senior System Engineering Specialist, the Application Cloud Architect will be responsible for:

- IT support, design, and troubleshooting for large server and SAN farms, as well as complex platforms.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of virtual environments, including VMware vSphere, vSAN, and Horizon.
- Server management and operating system knowledge (UNIX, Linux, Windows).
- Design, implementation, and administration of backup and restore solutions like VEEAM and StoreOnce.
- Administration of servers, bladesystems, and composable infrastructure.
- Administration of storage systems on traditional SAN, CEPH, and VSAN.
- Managing OCP platforms in DEVOPS mode with related supporting systems like Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, Ansible Automation Platform, and Kafka.
- Development, execution, and troubleshooting of Ansible and PowerShell scripts.
- PKI and certificate administration.
- Administration of monitoring systems like Nagios and Splunk.
- Administration of Oracle infrastructure, namely EXADATA and ZDRLA.
- Administration of mail servers and mail relays (postfix), antivirus, and anti-spam.
- Centralized deployment of software and updates.

**LEVEL OF EDUCATION**:

- Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master's degree or equivalent) after secondary school.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**:

- Knowledge and experience with hardware management, racking, cabling, replacement, and firmware upgrades.
- Hardware/software inventory and configuration management.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with VMware (vSphere, vSAN, Horizon).
- Knowledge and experience with managing Oracle hardware.
- Advanced experience in administering Redhat and Windows OS on large farms.
- Experience with Active Directory (AD), LDAP, and Keycloak management.
- Proficiency in Network Attached Storage (NAS) and distributed file systems.
- Centralized IT security policy management.
- Knowledge and experience in administering servers, bladesystems, and composable infrastructure.
- Expertise in administering backup and storage systems (VEEAM, StoreOnce, vSAN, traditional SAN, and CEPH).
- Advanced script development and troubleshooting skills (Ansible, PowerShell).
- Experience in software compliance monitoring and enforcement.
- Advanced knowledge of OCP platform administration with supporting tools like Red Hat Service Mesh, GitHub, Helm, GitOps, Ansible Automation Platform, Kafka.
- Knowledge to support mail servers and mail relays (postfix), antivirus, and anti-spam.
- Basic knowledge of database systems, including MS SQL, Oracle, and Elasticsearch.
- Knowledge and experience with monitoring and observability systems (configuration, customization, further development), including Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Fluentd, Kibana, Jaeger, NAGIOS, and Splunk.
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in managing highly available environments and multi-site support.
- Familiarity with ITIL/ITIL V3 processes, particularly incident, change, capacity, and configuration management.

**SPECIFIC EXPERTISE AND CERTIFICATIONS**:

- Advanced scripting skills (Ansible, PowerShell).
- Extensive experience with virtualization and cloud management tools.
- Proficiency in managing large-scale IT infrastructures and complex IT environments.
- Advanced skills in IT security policy implementation and management.
- Relevant certifications in VMware, Red Hat, Oracle, ITIL, and other related technologies and methodologies are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in compliance with industry standards for IT security, data management, and system administration.
