**This position**
The Senior Director, Identity is a role that is responsible for driving the architecture and engineering that enables the verification of Identities of people before they sign agreements and applies digital certificates on the signature when required.

The Identity team is chartered to build and integrate all the mechanisms to ensure the Identity of the signers before an agreement is signed and after, while providing a smooth frictionless experience. The team is located in Paris and in the United States. We embrace Agile principles and values, favor DevOps practices, all while we create an infrastructure that scales and supports our growth and ambitious vision. This requires a smart, highly collaborative team who can identify, investigate, and implement new technologies to continue securely scaling our global business.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the VP of Product and Engineering for Identity, Digital Signature & Notary. It is designated Flex (Hybrid).

**Responsibilities**
What You'll Achieve

3 Months
- Learn our technologies and our culture, spend time ramping in our Paris, San Francisco and Seattle offices and begin to manage and grow your team.
- Learn the DocuSign Platform and develop a point of view on how your product areas can contribute to the customer's success, and the high level evolutions.
- Understand the architecture and the way the service is delivered in our data centers and assess capacity and service level.
- Get familiar with regulation and compliance requirements and their impact on the way the product is developed.
- Establish your vision for 1 and 3 years for the team. Define the mission, the values, the objectives, responsibilities, and execution plan.
- Take ownership of the teams, assess team members skills and strengths, revise the staffing and execution plan.

12 Months
- Partner with Product Management to increase DocuSign leadership across the world. Drive the velocity and quality of the product you deliver.
- Grow and develop the engineering team in Paris and in the United States, develop synergies with other development centers.
- Work with engineering peers and contribute to defining the company architecture strategy and how this architecture is serviced across the world.
- Be the local DocuSign technical leader when working with partners or customers. Especially work with Sales organizations as a technical authority for deals that need our support.

**Basic qualifications**
- BS degree or higher with substantial, broad engineering experience with focus in B2B within SaaS companies.
- Demonstrated experience building robust, resilient web platforms and driving company-wide architecture innovation.
- Professional experience with consuming, building and architecting RESTful web-services at scale.
- History of mentoring architects and engineers in pursuing their career paths.
- Great communication skills to ensure smooth collaboration across offices and continents.
- Fluency in English and French.
