**This is the start of your adventure at Aptar**:
Reporting to the VP Legal EMEA, your main responsibilities will be:
Trade Compliance & Export Controls
- Advise on EU, U.S., and global trade regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, OFAC, dual-use controls), with a focus on life sciences products and technologies.
- Oversee compliance programs tailored to the movement of medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and biologics.
- Support licensing, classification, and screening processes for controlled substances and sensitive technologies.
- Manage regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions, including interactions with customs and health authorities.

Data Privacy:

- Lead GDPR compliance and advise on data protection laws affecting clinical trials, patient data, and health tech platforms.
- Draft and negotiate data processing agreements, especially in contexts involving health data and cross-border research.
- Support data incident response and regulatory reporting in coordination with IT and compliance teams.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments for digital health initiatives and AI-enabled diagnostics.

Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG):

- Advise on ESG-related legal obligations, including sustainability reporting, human rights due diligence, and supply chain transparency in pharma and medtech.
- Support integration of ESG principles into product stewardship, clinical ethics, and responsible sourcing.
- Monitor regulatory developments such as EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) and CSRD..

**Our future colleague**:

- Law degree and bar admission in an EU jurisdiction.
- 10+ years of post-qualification experience, including in-house counsel roles in multinational life sciences companies or top-tier law firms.
- Deep expertise in trade compliance, export controls, and data privacy; ESG experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
- Fluent in English; French or other European languages are a plus.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks such as EMA, FDA, REACH, and MDR.
- Familiarity with clinical trial governance, pharmacovigilance, and digital health regulations.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset.
