Internship - Esg Analyst for Private Assets

At Tikehau Capital, ESG is an essential element in the decision-making process, embedded in the fundamental analysis of our investment teams. It is also a progressive approach, and we need to add more strength to the ESG team. This position is an opportunity to be part of a growing alternative asset manager and work with portfolio managers and experience ESG experts on diverse projects:.
- 2024 ESG Reporting Campaign: Participate in the preparation and project management of the 2024 ESG reporting campaign for Private Debt and Private Equity.
- Sustainable Regulatory Requirements: Oversee and coordinate annual ESG and impact reports including regulatory topics (SFDR periodic reports, quarterly and annual dedicated reports )
- ESG Analysis: Contribute to the analysis of ESG performance, including ESG scoring, monitoring of SRI criteria, benchmarking, and tracking decarbonization targets.
- Due Diligence: Help the team complete due diligence questionnaires to assess ESG factors across investment opportunities.
- Presentation and Material Preparation: Assist in the creation of presentations, as well as legal and marketing materials related to ESG initiatives.

Group-Level Responsibilities:

- Group Reporting: Support the ESG team in group-wide reporting initiatives, contributing to the overall development and communication of ESG efforts at the firm.

Ce poste est une opportunité de faire partie d'un gestionnaire d'actifs alternatifs en pleine croissance et de travailler avec les gérants de portefeuille et les équipes de recherche sur des sujets ESG variés.
- Le stagiaire assistera l'équipe dans ses missions principales, comprenant:

- Participer à la préparation et au lancement de la campagne de reporting 2024 (gestion de projet)
- Aide à l'analyse ESG (notation ESG, suivi des critères ISR, comparaison, suivi des objectifs de décarbonation, etc.).
- Assistance à la complétion des questionnaires de due diligence.
- Aide à la préparation et la production de présentations, de documents légaux et marketing.
- Participation aux efforts de l'équipe et contribution au renforcement du département : amélioration des outils, mise en œuvre des processus efficaces, propositions d’initiatives de formation, et renforcement des capacités de recherche de l'équipe en contribuant au savoir-faire et au contenu sur des secteurs et/ou des thèmes spécifiques.
- Participation aux efforts d'engagement avec l'équipe de recherche pour les entreprises prioritaires du portefeuille sur les sujets d'impact, ESG et controverses.

Au niveau du groupe:

- Participation à la mise en œuvre de projets ESG transversaux, en particulier sur les questions de biodiversité et de climat.
- Participation au reporting du groupe

- Final or penultimate year student from a top business or engineering school, with strong academic credentials.
- ** Strong analytical and synthesis skills**: ability to approach problems logically and systematically, and to analyze information effectively.
- ** Attention to Detail**: Demonstrating a meticulous approach to tasks, including data entry, report formatting, and documentation, ensuring precision and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- ** Dynamic and pro-active in suggesting new ideas**: Demonstrating initiative and the ability to work autonomously, with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Possessing a strong sense of urgency and a focus on achieving results.
- ** Excellent command of MS Office**: in particular Excel (ability to use formulas and to manage large files) and Powerpoint, and ability to quickly learn new software tools or platforms used within the organization.
- Familiarity with ESG-related standards and frameworks including GRI, SASB and TCFD and/or with ESG ratings (e.g., MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, Vigeo, Refinitiv, etc.) would be a plus.
- Knowledge of the Reporting tool is a plus
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong personal interest for certain sustainability matters
