As a Barclays France Country Coverage, you will have an exciting chance to be accountable for assisting the Head of Compliance France and Belgium in the oversight of France based activities undertaken by the Barclays Bank Ireland Plc (referred to as Barclays Europe) in Paris including also non business related matters such as regulatory interactions, EU projects, and France related Mis.

**What will you be doing?**
- Working proactively with the Head of Compliance France and Belgium to develop relationships with key external stakeholders on regulatory and conduct risk issues
- Helping the Head of Compliance France and Belgium in the regulatory interactions related to investigations/ inspections for information to ensure requests are complied with
- Assisting the Head of Compliance France and Belgium as required, in industry consultations issued by regulators on changes in rules and regulations
- Helping to build relationships and work effectively with Risk partners across Barclays Europe, to provide an integrated approach to enterprise wide risk management
- Maintaining effective relationships and deal openly with all key stakeholders by pursuing the Barclays Citizenship and Shared Growth Strategy
- Taking into account the needs of all stakeholders and taking decisions which, in the long term, are positive for customers and clients, shareholders, colleagues
- Understanding and learning of material legislations, conduct of business and market rules in jurisdictions in which the bank operates

**What we’re looking for**:

- University degree in related field
- Understanding of both the regulatory frameworks and products and services offered by BE
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team, managing a varied book of work multiple deliverables to specific timelines
- Ability to lead /supervise more junior members of the immediate and broader team when necessary

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Legal background
- Knowledge in banking and financial instruments
- Knowledge of banking and financial regulations
- Graduate degree preferred (e.g., law, business)
