**Pourquoi a-t-on besoin de vous ?** **Technology and Industrial Performance Team** (TIP) is an International Central Team of around 550 employees, based on several sites in France and abroad. Its mission is to define and implement the Group's energy, industrial performance, and environmental roadmap, while providing technical support to the Group's plants, particularly in Construction businesses such as Gypsum, Insulation, Mortars and Glass. The mortars R&D teams is working together with the local teams and the R&D centers of Saint-Gobain to constantly innovate in each of the business segment. The façade activity is one of the key segments of the Mortar business. The innovation happens at the product level through dry mix or wet products like paints. The synergies are also strong with the other businesses of Saint-Gobain, particularly Gypsum and Insulation to design new façade systems. These solutions contribute to improve the building energy efficiency, to provide comfort and to help in matching Saint-Gobain targets in term of carbon neutrality. The mission of international R&D façade manager includes the following duties: - Coordinate innovative research projects allowing the development of innovative façade solutions with both local façade Mortars teams and worldwide R&D centers. - Work in close collaboration with marketing teams to push innovation (particularly wet products and paints). - Develop the expertise regarding façade products and systems to provide a support when technical challenges pop-up. - Share the knowledge between the local teams and communicate best practices. - Structure the frame of test enabling to assess the performances of new systems developed in line with local regulations and evolutions to be expected. 25/30% of time spent travelling (multiple short trips and some long trips every year) Possibility of remote work up to 1 to 2 days a week. **Ce poste est-il fait pour vous ?** Skills required: - Degree in materials science, construction science, chemical engineering or similar - 5+ years in the building Industry, ideally in paint and/or coating industry with knowledge related to local and European regulation and building practices (ideally > 3 years) - Experience in R&D management (Lab managers, R&D project leader ) - Fluent English (written and spoken), French not mandatory but it could ease the integration. Soft skills: - Attitude to work in a complex international organization. - Good communication skills & situational intelligence - Ability to work in a team and international network. - Autonomy and initiative-taking.
