MuleSoft is seeking a dedicated Director who will be responsible for successfully leading the company’s EMEA field marketing organisation. Reporting to the VP of Global Field Marketing at MuleSoft, leading a dedicated team and playing a meaningful role on the EMEA Leadership Team. This individual will demonstrate their business and sales skills, technology expertise, and strategic marketing skills to build and lead a team that will support the growth objectives of our field team: driving adoption and usage of our products and services and improving new logo acquisition as well as overall customer satisfaction, retention, and advocacy.
This role requires an individual with strong leadership, stakeholder management and entrepreneurial skills who can evangelize our business vision and marketing strategy, while driving demand and delivering a healthy pipeline, and scaling our regional processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness across regions.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Lead, develop and coach an impactful field marketing team deployed across Europe
- Lead and be responsible for the creation and execution of regional and sub-regional go-to-market marketing plans for direct/inbound, in partnership with corporate marketing, digital, PMM and sales leadership
- Support the in-region execution of partner/channel go-to-market marketing plans in partnership with partner marketing
- Execute and inform targeted “campaigns in a box” relevant to specific field needs not served by the global plan
- Align with corporate and product marketing teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging for in-region programs
- Work with Digital and Salesforce counterparts to implement Account Based Marketing (ABM) programs
- Analyse the sales cycle, channel mix, and customer segmentation to formulate ideas and approaches to optimize the selling process across different customer segments and personas.
- Translate the overall annual marketing plan and goals into actionable quarterly targets, goals, initiatives and metrics for the region.
- Drive clear quarterly comms plan/update to field counterparts to ensure alignment on goals, progress, and upcoming focus areas.
- Introduce new marketing ideas, channels, and tactics to help scale the business
- In partnership with the strategic events team, implement offline and online event strategy that meets corporate and field objectives e. g. leads to Sales, awareness, advance major accounts, Industry/trade/User group, company and partner events
- Partner with our exec engagement team to align on in-region business needs, and best exec programs to run, and then drive execution with field
- Ensure successful leads/opportunity capture/nurture and connection to sales teams
- Maintain a 90-day rolling calendar of integrated activities that drive full-funnel for prospects and customers
- Arm sales teams with tailored content support to leverage customer outreach and engagement
**Required skills & experience**:
- Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
- Knowledge of and comfort working in an agile business
- Deep experience leading a European (or equivalent) field marketing organisation at scale
- Ability to excel at creating marketing strategy and vision and seeing it through to successful execution
- Thrives operating in both analytical and creative mode—to distill concepts into marketing messaging, vehicles, and campaigns that are accessible easily understood, and creative
- Shown ability to drive revenue through highly effective marketing and measured accountable results
- Outstanding leadership skills and proven ability to attract, develop and coach a dedicated team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (internal and external)
- Capable of being a spokesperson for the company
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships across multiple departments and functions. Highly collaborative
- Understands and embraces importance of both internal and external personal relationships; able to build strong relationships with customers and partners and across all functions and levels internally
