Position Overview
As a Paralegal / Legal & Compliance Assistant, you will provide critical support to the Legal & Compliance team, ensuring that Gutor’s operations adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
Reporting to the Head of Legal & Compliance (based in France), you will assist in contract management, compliance monitoring, legal research, and administrative tasks related to legal and compliance matters.
This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for legal and compliance work in an international environment.

**Core Responsibilities**

**1. Contract Management**
- Draft, review, and assist in negotiating commercial contracts, NDAs, supplier agreements, and service contracts in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Maintain an organized contract database, ensuring all agreements are properly filed, tracked, and renewed as needed.
- Monitor contract deadlines, renewals, and compliance obligations (e.g., insurance, warranties, regulatory filings).

**2. Legal Research & Compliance Support**
- Conduct legal research on regulatory requirements (e.g., anti-corruption, data privacy, export controls, labor laws) applicable to Gutor’s operations.
- Assist in preparing compliance reports, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with global and local regulations.
- Support the implementation of compliance programs, including training and awareness initiatives for employees.

**3. Administrative & Operational Support**
- Prepare and file legal documents (e.g., corporate resolutions, powers of attorney, regulatory filings).
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, auditors, and regulatory authorities as needed.
- Assist in due diligence processes for third-party vendors, partners, and suppliers.

**4. Litigation & Dispute Support**
- Assist in gathering evidence, preparing legal correspondence, and coordinating with external lawyers in case of disputes or litigation.
- Maintain records of legal proceedings, claims, and settlements.

**5. Cross-Department Collaboration**
- Work closely with Finance, Procurement, HR, and Sales teams to ensure legal and compliance requirements are integrated into daily operations.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on legal and compliance matters (e.g., code of conduct, anti-corruption policies).

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- **Education**:Bachelor’s degree in law, Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field. A paralegal certification is a plus **.**
- **Experience**:3+ years of experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a compliance-related role, preferably in an industrial or multinational environment.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Familiarity with contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, anti-corruption, export controls).
- Experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents (contracts, policies, reports).
- Basic knowledge of legal and compliance research tools and software
- Forward-thinking mindset with an interest in legal tech and AI tools to streamline processes (e.g., contract lifecycle management, regulatory compliance)
- **Soft Skills**:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English; additional languages (French, German, etc.) are a plus.
- Attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- **Tools**:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and document management systems.

**Desired Skills & Qualifications**
- Experience in international trade compliance, data privacy, or environmental regulations.
- Knowledge of corporate secretarial duties (e.g., board meetings, corporate filings).
- Familiarity with legal project management.
